Kaleidoscope Thanks Copper Shores

Kaleidoscope recently wrapped up the Be Happy Rx initiative, sponsored by Copper Shores Community Health Foundation. Kaleidoscope partnered with local mental health professionals to offer an initiative focused on social interaction as a supplement to mental health therapy. Be Happy Rx: A Social Pharmacy focused on “prescribing” social experiences geared towards something the client enjoyed and contributed to overall well-being and happiness. (Disclaimer: Be Happy Rx programming was not a replacement for mental health treatment.)

One Be Happy Rx voucher could be used as payment for any of the following Kaleidoscope programs: a club pass for one semester or summer session, Grownups Art Nights (all access through July 2025), tuition for one semester class or summer class, or tuition for one summer camp program.

Kaleidoscope's partner in launching the initiative was unitē Mental Health and Wellness. The Baraga County Shelter Home also joined in the effort.

Kaleidoscope and the Be Happy Rx participants thank Copper Shores for supporting the initiative and making Kaleidoscope's programming accessible to more local families.
