Kaleidoscope’s 4th Annual Drama Camp

This June was our fourth Drama Camp, and the third year of hosting Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT) to provide this program. A team of two tour directors came from Missoula, Montana to take a group of young actors from zero to full-blown production in just five days. Once again, we had the privilege of being able to use the historic Calumet Theatre for the camp. This year, the MCT team and drama campers put on the production of Treasure Island. In between rehearsals during the day, there were a variety of crafts and activities available for the campers to keep their creative juices flowing. Kaleidoscope received a grant from the Michigan Arts & Culture Council that helped fund this experience for more than 50 kids throughout the community, as did contributions from numerous local businesses.
