STEAM Saturdays 2024/2025 a Wrap!

This past school year, Kaleidoscope Hancock launched STEAM Saturdays. On the third Saturday of the month, community experts or Kaleidoscope staff presented family-friendly programs or projects in their fields of study.

Each STEAM Saturday featured one science project and one art project. Science projects included such topics as Electrochemical Exploration, Microscopes, Magnetic Field Exploration, and Dinosaur Digs. Art topics included Ink Stamp Landscapes, Laminar and Tubular Water, Fizzy Baking Soda Paint, and Watercolor Painting.

STEAM Saturdays were free to anyone in the community, with optional donations to Kaleidoscope. STEAM Saturdays were supported by a grant from the Keweenaw Community Foundation. Over 50 participants registered at STEAM Saturdays--and we are sure there are more that came but forgot to sign in.

All scheduled STEAM Saturdays are complete, but stay tuned for Fall 2025-Summer 2026 dates and topics.
