STEAM Saturdays Return

We are kicking off the new year with a new series of STEAM Saturdays! This program is sponsored by the Keweenaw Community Foundation.

Once per month on a Saturday, from 10 AM to noon, we present family-friendly workshops in science and art. For this coming STEAM Saturday, two of Kaleidoscope's instructors, Catherine "Cat" Hiltunen and Zack Osborn, will present programs in their areas of expertise. Cat will teach paint blending and shading techniques using a snowman painting project, while Zack will help students engineer their own devices to allow their egg survive a fall from the top of the Hancock Community Hub.

There is no charge for this program, but donations are welcome.

2026 STEAM Saturday Dates:

  • January 31
  • February 28
  • March 21
  • April 25
  • Further Dates TBD

We are seeking volunteers from the community to come share their area of expertise at a STEAM Saturday. If you are interested, please fill out this form.
